Fishing Tackle recommendations for fishing in Quetico Park. Here are the lures that you want to make sure are in your tackle box!
Note: All of these fishing lures will need to be converted to barbless tackle to be legal so be sure to order the corresponding barbless treble hooks and pair of split ring pliers to put them together before your go! It's a LOT easier to change hooks at the kitchen table than it is to do in a canoe or sitting on a rock in the wind with a zillion pine needles on the ground!
For Lake Trout Fishing - Cicadas are hot! Click here for instructions to use them!

| Cicadas come equipped with a two point hook which is more or less the two-hook part of a treble hook. You need to remove these hooks (easy) and re-install Gamakatsu Barbless Trebles with an added split ring. Order # 6 barbless trebles with split rings for 1/2 oz and smaller. Order #4 barbless trebles with split rings for 3/4 oz. Cicadas. To closely mimic Cicada's original double hook, snip off the bottom tine of the treble. This is optional. For Excellent Walleye Fishing - Cast Rapala Tail Dancers into shore in the evenings. They crank down 6 to 15 feet. You can alos troll them behind the canoe in over reefs and along rocky shores. In clear waters like the Quetico, all of the colors will work, but I'd definitely have an Emerald Shiner and a Silver in my tackle box.
